UTOPIES is one of the first sustainability consultancies and has several practices that make it a good example of a caring workspace. UTOPIES, created in 1993, aims to open new paths for corporate sustainability and foster the integration of social and environmental issues into companies’ mission, innovation and business strategy.
UTOPIES is the first French company to be certified as a B-Corp and has had a high ranking in the Great Place to Work Awards since 2019. Until 2019, UTOPIES also took charge of developing the B-Corp movement in France for five years.
Employee wellbeing is valued in UTOPIES. Thus, its employees have had the right to work remotely 2 days a week, even before the pandemic. UTOPIES supports parenting employees to achieve and maintain a healthy life-work balance and signed the Corporate Parenthood Charter. With this charter, UTOPIES extended secondary caregivers’ leave period from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. Moreover, it extended parental leave for two more weeks with additional paid leave policies such as caregiver leave, sick child leave, and education support leave. UTOPIES is a signatory to the LGBT+ Commitment Charter of l'Autre Cercle, and the Diversity Charter (Charte de la diversité), which provides inclusive workspaces to LGBT+ individuals.
